The pub's charm really stands out. it feels like a slice of history with its old-school vibe, making it a cozy spot for a quick escape. The cleanliness of the place is decent enough for a budget stop, providing a basic but tidy environment for the night.
The room had its fair share of issues, including a bed that felt like a slingshot thanks to its springs. The noise from the bar kept me awake until midnight, and sheets were clearly overdue for a change. The parking situation was disconcerting, as I had to park on the street, and hearing about a recent bike theft added to my unease. To top it off, the breakfast didn’t offer much to look forward to, especially with better dining options nearby. it was a mixed bag that could use some improvements.

i almost woudl have given a decent review, but honestly, this place is a disaster. the bed was lumpy, and the heating was nonexistent when i really needed it. I was initially shown to a room occupied by someone else! all this and not even a complimentary gesture for my inconvenience! very disappointing.

We enjoyed our stay with our teenage daughter. The location was fantastic, and we loved the cozy decor, making it feel like our home away from home.
In my wife’s opinion, more kid-friendly activities would be ideal.
